During the professional career path, the colleagues of BDO Hungary FDI Advisory gained unique skills, that furthers the whole of our site selection related advisory activities and enables us to evaluate each component of the decision-making matrix of the site-selection procedure.
Until 2024 our team members (commonly) facilitated the realization of more than 50 greenfield investments in the territory of Hungary, including the site-selection procedure of two battery cell manufacturing companies, which also required the assessment of the critical utility availability such as the utilization of purified wastewater, the reduction of water consumption, and the shift towards circular economy.
We undertake:
- Site identification and analysis (zoning of the land, built-in-ratio, archeology, ammunition discharge etc.)
- Advising on cost components,
- Permitting related facets (e.g.: pEIA, EIA, IPPC, SEVESO)
- Management of request for governmental instruments (e.g.: VIP status, investment target area status)
- Assessment on labor availability and regulations,
- Evaluation of utility availability,
- Assessment regarding state aid opportunities,
- Alternative location analysis,
- The identification of business development facets,
- Municipal & governmental affairs related engagements.
